Editing for the Sciences and Humanities, Fiction and Personal Nonfiction, Ghostwriting

writerEditing Iowa is a new editing service aimed at improving the client’s writing on levels ranging from simple proofreading to deep revision. We are also highly experienced in manuscript development and ghostwriting, with over 30 years combined experience in treating scientific manuscripts as well as fiction and personal memoirs. What makes Editing Iowa different is that our editors have degrees from or associations with the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop, indicating our dedication to language that communicates clearly and with style, and our expertise in achieving it.

One of our strengths is editing medical manuscripts, with our editors having worked on articles that have been published in such journals as Circulation, New England Journal of Medicine, Annals of Internal Medicine and many, many others. Included among the scientists whose work we’ve edited is the 2001 Nobel laureate in chemistry, Ryoji Noyori, demonstrating Editing Iowa’s proficiency in working with the manuscripts of non-native English speakers.

On the humanities side, we also enjoy developing the work of inexperienced writers who have a need for professional feedback regarding fiction manuscripts and personal and family histories, with one of our editors having ghostwritten eleven book-length works of fiction and nonfiction and consulted on hundreds of others.

Editing Iowa assures careful and high-quality attention to each manuscript we deal with, and encourages close, informal communication between the editor and the client. Language matters to us, and improvement in the client’s work is guaranteed at reasonable rates and fast turn-around times. Our intention is to help you achieve your writing goals as effectively and professionally as possible.
